*Hang-over…*

By Freek at 10:41 am on Thursday, May 17, 2007

It feels like there’re a few acupuncture needles on my head. Especially on the right side. Rather irritating considering the fact that its a working day and all. I might just bite at this state, but thankfully, I haven’t been pushed into that. Yet.

Maybe it’s a hang-over from oversleeping. Slept at 8.30pm yesterday. I mean, I was tired and I hated how my hormones have been creating these mood-swings, but didn’t expect me to sleep all the way through. And what I didn’t count on was that I set my alarm clock for 0930 instead of 2130! So there went my chance of watching Idol as I only woke up when Dy embraced me at 2305hrs! Dang! Woke up, felt exceptionally warm, went to the kitchen to get warm water(since me mum warned me against drinking cold stuff too often), and tried going back to sleep. Despite my thermometer reading my temperature at 36.9, my body felt warmer than that.

Needless to say, a log is a log and I immediately slept like one till this morning. Now I feel horrible with this headache and an annoying feeling I can’t put my finger on just yet.

So, I’m gonna think of happy thoughts, like meeting my lil’ ones in an hour for class, going home early today, hugging my Dy, meeting the girls tomorrow(hurrah!), outing with Ain and family this Sat and yesh…

1 more frigging week to the holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (technically I’ll be holidaying only after 2 more weeks of school… but 1 more week till school’s out for the sem!)

Woohoo!

Me: Awak tak bawak duit, eh, H? Awak nak beli makan apa?

H: Saya nak beli keropok tu. Saya bawak duit, tapi keropok tu enam posen. (innocently shows his gold $1 coin) Duit ni tak boleh kan, chekgoo?

Me: *laughs* H, H, inikan duit satu dolar. Cukuplah tu!

H: Eh, boleh eh, chekgoo?

Sigh.

*Of shoes and budding fashion consultants…..*

By Freek at 8:03 am on Saturday, May 12, 2007

Thanks all for the concern yesterday. I’m a-ok today.

Yesterday went on smoothly. Though I must say, I ended it badly with a “You don’t bullshit me!” coming out of my mouth. I guess precisely why I can’t teach Secondary kids. I’m very much still hot-tempered. But can’t blame me for being pissed at a bunch of kids who have been laughing and mocking at a less-experienced kid for her funny dance moves. I can’t just keep quiet and watch the kid being the butt of their laughters.

Anyways, though my kids’ results weren’t fantabulous,  I’m glad all my big ones passed and as for the kiddies, much better lot than last years’. Ah well, I’m contented and the main thing is, I know the kids worked real hard. It just takes the kids to turn one’s mood around.

In the morning, I came to school wearing sandals and baju kurung. After that, I changed into my teaching shoes.

shoes.jpg

Not a likely pair, huh? Hehe.. I just felt lazy to iron so I just grabbed my sister’s baju kurung, forgetting that I only have these shoes stored in school. If my usual Fashion Police was in school yesterday, he’d tell me,”Chekgoo Suhainis, kenapa Chek-chek-chekgoo Suhainis pakai kasut ni? Tak kenalah..” Hehe. He always tells me when I look not so right in his eyes. Though some of my kids like me wearing contacts, he’d tell me I look better with specs. Haha.

Anyways, it was my big ones who commented on my shoes. “Chekgoo, kenapa Chekgoo pakai kasut ni ah? Tak kena pakai baju kurung ngan kasut ni..

I told them I was lazy to wear heels. “Tapi Chekgoo pakai kasut tinggi lagi cantik seyy..

*lol* It was funny to hear that, though my Fashion Police would probably say(he did say it once actually), “Chekgoo Suhainis, Chek-chek-Chekgoo Suhainis jangan pakai kasut tinggilah. Nak turun tangga susahlah!

*lol*

*That Day Surgery…*

By Freek at 5:58 pm on Wednesday, May 9, 2007

Back from that endoscopy thingy. Glad to say, I’m contented that there aren’t any ulcers in there. Just a little bit of inflammation and also, some stomach reflux or something. Main thing is, there isn’t anything growing there and that’s a big relief.

So, when I was there, I was taken aback to be ushered into a ward where there were all OLD people inside except for me. *lol* All of them were sleeping. I didn’t think I’d have to actually sleep here for 2 hours after that 5 min scope procedure! Tsk. Anyways, I was given Bed 25. Interesting, I thought. What a significant number for me.

They took blood pressure, and then a young doc came in to explain some things to me. It was almost hilarious how he looked at me while explaining that there could be complications during the procedure. I think he was trying VERY hard to look serious and empathetic, but he looked rather pathetic. So, he tied a latex glove halfway up my arm, to find a vein to poke the tube in. He tried one arm, then he said he’d have to try the other. Ok, so, he found a vein, and poked. I was almost gonna slap him on the head cos it felt like he was weaving a needle and thread into my hand ever so slowly. Argh, and know what? He actually pulled it out again! And tried another needle. I said, “Ouch!” and he said, “Oh, sorry!” It’s ok, boy, I now only have 2 needle holes on my hand.

Poked!

So I waited and waited. At 11.45, I was wheeled into the endoscopy room on my bed. There were 2 policemen outside the room I was suppsoed to go in cos’ they were accompanying a convict which was in the room before me.

I tell ya, I wouldn’t wanna have another endoscopy in my life. I thought I was going to be sedated and go sleep/unconscious or something cos’ most of the old ladies in the ward were sleeping when they were wheeled in. But I was wide awake, squirming as the tube was put through my mouth and to my small intestines. It got bad, I vomitted and without me realizing it, I was shedding tears. *lol* “The nurses there were like, are you ok? It’s ok, we’re done here, ok.”

It wasn’t exactly painful per se. It just felt weird having something go into my stomach, move around and then stirring up some bile to vomit out of myself. I wasn’t crying because I wanted to, but because my body wanted to. Glad it was all over though. Cos’ I couldn’t wait to eat. My last meal was at 6.30pm yesterday and my procedure was at 11.45am! So, I was contented when the nurse gave me butter sandwich and milo – hospital style.

Food!

I have some red marks on my arm from the blood pressure thingy. It was a tad too tight and the doc’s assistant left it there longer since the machine couldn’t take my reading with me moving around too much. Kinda look like those hickies, huh.. but it’s a helluva long hicky. *lol* My mum’s a bit mad though when she saw the long streak of red around me arm.

 Red stuff

At the end of all that, this is my medication.

Pills

My only complaint from the procedure is, I still feel a slight pain in my left side of the throat from swallowing the tube. Right now, as I swallow, there’s that annoying poking feeling. Sheesh.

But, yah, I’m glad it’s all over. No choc/coffee anymore for me folks. Urgh!

Aight, have a good 2 more days countdown to weekend!
