*First date..*

By Freek at 7:55 am on Tuesday, October 21, 2008

After sooo long, Dy & I finally had a date.

It has been difficult for us to spend a few hours just being how we used to be during the courtship years. For one, I always couldn’t bear tearing myself away from Aaliya and miss precious moments with her. And also, Dy has been busy with NIE assignments weighing him down.

But yesterday, we decided to have that date and it was, very, very nice.

And what did we end up doing?

Cutting and coloring our hair.

Yes. My waist-length hair has gone up to my bra-level and it is now dark brown with streaks of blond. *lol* My mum was not happy with it. She said it made me look like an old woman. But I know, she just doesn’t want my sisters to like it. Maklumlah, aku kan kakak. Nak kena show good example.

So, that was it. My first date with first baby, Dy. It’s a half-day today. Time to spend with my very huggable and bite-able Aaliya.

P/S: Kg Clan girls, will show you guys this Sat. *lol*

*Open houses….*

By Freek at 11:33 am on Monday, October 13, 2008

(Aaliya’s blog updated)

What do I do with Aaliya for extra bonding?

We SHOWER together. *lol*

Yes, whenever I get to pick her up early from the in-laws, I’ll ask them not to bathe her cos I’ve started bathing with her in the shower. Meaning, I carry her in my arm since she can hold her body upright now and I make her lean on me from time to time. Sure, it gets slippery, but I grip her extra tight when it’s time to soap. Heh. Maybe can get Dy to join in the action next time. Only if he’s not TOO busy doing his assignments. Bleargh!

*******************************************************

I hate going to open houses.

You can be sure to stock up the fat belt around the waist.

Oklah, so it’s a matter of choice. But then, when one house serves briyani (my in-laws, which I obviously will NEVER resist since it’s so yum-may despite how many times I’ve eaten it before), another serves mee bakso/tahu goreng and another serves shepherd’s pie & spagetti, it’s seriously too much to resist. I mean, if everyone were to serve the same thing, it would be easier to just skip but?the problem?with varieties, dang!

Aight, off to class.

*Our 1st Raya as family of 3…*

By Freek at 11:58 pm on Sunday, October 5, 2008

Last year, Dy & I didn’t really celebrate Raya. I was mostly nauseous and puking due to my first few months of pregnancy. This year, we celebrate Raya as a family of 3. In pink, gold and purple. Gold on Day 1, purple on Saturday and pink on Sunday. Ahakz.

It had been fun going visiting with this little cupcake of mine. People were going gaga when they saw her in her kebaya on the first day complete with her?light gold shoes and her Dora sling bag I bought for her. Since we always spend first day of Raya at Dy’s ustaz house, this year was no different. By around 3, her Dora bag was full and we went home to empty it. People who came to the house and saw her were like, “Cutenyer! Cutenyer!” and gave her the green packets though I don’t really know most of them. *lol*

?

She was cranky here and there but mostly, she was fine. Since she apparently recognises people now, she gets agitated when someone she doesn’t know, carries her. Just like just now. When my aunt carried her, she actually looked at me and stretched her arm out to me and gave me that “Iboo, help me!” look. *lol* But yeah, she’s still a friendly baby, though – when her stomach’s full. =)

Enjoy, peeps!
