BSB Concert 28/02/2010

By Freek at 10:28 pm on Monday, March 1, 2010

Dy managed to capture this amidst the mayhem. Regretted not charging the v-cam.. cos I thought we couldnt bring it in! Nonetheless, they sang most of my fave songs and favouritest – More than That! And I knew that they couldn’t end their concert without singing the latest – Straight through my heart. Gosh, the boys were as good as ever. (The hysterical voice u hear on & off amongst the hysteria, is, moi… *lol*)

Dy, please bring me again next year… please… this time, maybe somewhere nearer to the stage, can? Please…. heh…

*Happy, happy things….*

By Freek at 12:40 pm on Sunday, February 21, 2010

Heya. Been a while. Busy with school stuff and all. But, having said that, time, as cliche as it may sound, really does fly.

I mean, now it’s coming to the start of 8th week. And that means Term 2’s coming soon. Faster than we can imagine.

Term 2 would be a challenge, too. Besides the all important mid-year exams, that’ll also be the time I’ve to overcome a few hurdles myself – giant feet, water retention, big, bulging tummy, shortness of breath going up & down the stairs to classes, back ache and stuff. Time draws near. And just thinking that next week is the end of February, it makes it all sound rather surreal. By the end of Term 2, Baby A2 will be born, and you shall see if my family quartet is going to consist of? a pair of gorgeous lil’ girls whom I will dress matchingly (if A2’s a girl, that is), or a lil’ boy for Aaliya to play “BOLL!” with.

Anyhows, this past week had been good. Happier than the previous. Glad a lot of things have been sorted out. It’s a journey, so, there are bound to be bumps. But yeah, learning…

So, I’ve uploaded the Kg Clan pics in FB. Here’s just a few other pics I just took within the week.

Brought Aaliya swimming after so long. In the noon, it looked like it was going to rain. Was afraid had to cancel it but I know my dad will bring her play in the rain instead. But the dark clouds cleared, so we brought her to Tamp for a swim~

Naturally, she was ecstatic,

… practised her strokes,

… explored the waters,

… was very happy,

… until it was time to go home. *lol*

On Saturday, brought her out with her God-father Noh and God-mama Suhaila. Heh..

Wants to pull out her “Aaliya” necklace and hold it instead.

But, yeah, I like that pendant on her…

So, it’s a Sunday. And next Sunday is a happy day for me. Currently, my most important item in my handbag is my Burberry wallet.

Basically, because of the 2 pieces of paper that’s inside of it.

*Another week in a flash…*

By Freek at 10:48 pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Another busy week. This weekend will be crazy.

  • Turning from chirpy & funny in the classroom… into a?monster or evil stepmother to the ‘offenders’, and back to happy & entertaining?for the sake of?the ‘good’ kids, is extremely tiring. Especially when you have reminded them a gazillion times over. But some kids just test you. And, according to my patience level, enough IS enough.
  • Must build up stamina. After a while, I get breathless so easily. Doesn’t help that I’ve to go up 4 floors for some lessons.
  • It’s bad that I cannot go without?a proper meal?in the mornings. Eating bread can still make my stomach go haywire.?Being prone to?gastric is bad enough. Pregnancy only aggravates it. I love being pregnant though. Just not the gastric part. *sighs*
  • Baby A2 is moving lots and lots. Love the feeling. Very reassuring.
  • Couldn’t resist dancing with the kids despite the numerous reminders to be careful and not over-exert myself during ML Dance CCA. Some of the kids gawked and went,”Eh, cikgu, cikgu!”
  • Bought a few more dresses for Aaliya. *gasps* Can’t resistlah! Girl dresses are so EASY to find and so damn pretty. Doesn’t help that the contacts I have on Multiply sell some of the prettiest ones!
  • Just thinking about the exam papers I am to set for next week, is enough to drain my energy. I shall refrain from thinking about it till Sat.
  • Shall keep some of Aaliya’s stuff for her soon-to-be lil sibling. Some of it can be used, and some?will have to?be given away or discarded. Those she doesn’t wanna wear, thankfully, can be handed down to her soon-to-be Adik. Yeay~
  • 9 more days to payday and CNY hols!
  • Going to get some cloths this weekend to send to Batam. Gonna get Aaliya’s jubahs made there. Maybe can make something for the newcomer to our family as well. *beams*
  • When shall I start shopping for Baby A2?

On another happier note, I’m loving some of the things Aaliya does now. Like, putting her hands in prayer and?doing her du’a?”Psst, psst, psst, psst” when she sees a mosque or when she’s sitting for a meal, tapping on a picture of a yawning person/animal to ‘help it sleep’, telling us “Shhh!” when she sees something sleeping (though she’d run after a sleeping cat anytime), having her own ‘conversation’ complete with laughter/anger/pauses on the phone with no one, praying with her Ayah(and wearing her telekong when she has the mood) – she does the rukuk’, takbiratul ihram, and sujud(by lying face down on the floor completely) which, despite tickling us, makes me feel more blessed to see her be observant of things we do.

Sometimes I do feel helpless as a mother. Since she doesn’t really talk and mostly talks gibberish or points things to us and nods/shakes her head, when I can’t figure out what she is trying to ‘tell’ me and she ends up getting frustrated and cries, it really makes me angry with myself for not being more observant. But yeah, it’s a learning process of getting to know her different ways of expressing herself. And at the same time, I’m preparing for the onset of a new set of ‘ragam’ of the next child.

I love getting 3 big sloppy kisses from her before I go to work, irregardless if she’s still sleeping, with her eyes closed, she’ll give me, “Muah! Muah! Muah!”

And I love Dy, who has been my companion for the past 9 wonderful?years and husband for 4 years this coming June.

I don’t think I could have found a better man to spend my life with, than you, Baby.

With that, I’m going to bed now. Till next time.

*Of reaching the 20-weeks mark…*

By Freek at 12:01 am on Tuesday, January 26, 2010

Praises be to Him for letting me and Baby A2 reach this far.

I’ve been anticipating the 5th month mark since that’ll be the time for the screening. I even had nightmares about missing the appointment. In one nightmare, I was late for the appointment and they said I had to wait a few weeks more. And for another, I forgot all about it. Ish!

But thankfully, I made it and yes, I was definitely pleased to see the lil’ life in me. Getting to see the various organs as they should be and the various?vessels and blood flow and the heart pumping well, really made my day. It also made me thank God for this miracle cos’ seeing a developed spine, kidneys and stuff, from just a tiny blob of blood just months before, it’s just, mindblowing.

The lil’ one wasn’t exactly pleased cos the sono-lady pressed on my tummy a weeny bit too hard. I could see Baby A2 squirming inside a few times. I think at that time, Baby A2 must have been sleeping or resting or something. Yes, like I said, I’ve felt Baby A2 move since our 4th month and now, I can already see my tummy moving a bit when he/she bumps or kicks me. Like, right now, he/she is actively moving around. And the lil’ nudges on the tummy makes me smile everytime.

Oh, yes, yes. Look at the hand on this one. A Muhammad.Ali move. Heh.

And look at that thigh. *lol* Could be another juicy drumstick like the Kakak Aaliya. I laughed when the sono-lady put the scanner thingy on my tummy. Cos’ the first thing I saw was that round thing on Baby A2’s chest and it looked like he/she was blowing a bubble. The sono-lady told me to stop laughing. Hehe. It’s Baby A2’s left fist it seems. *lol*

So, yeaps. I’m glad that Baby A2’s doing well. My gynae told me though, that this one’s prolly?gonna be another big baby since the report indicated a medium-big size fetus. I told her, then she’ll have to cut me again then. She said that remains to seen. When the time gets nearer then we can decide.

I mean, I don’t mind that Baby A2’s gonna be another big one. I mean, as long as he/she is healthy, for me, being cut open is no big deal. If fate has it that I’m meant to deliver babies via caesar and never get to experience normal delivery, so be it. As long as my babies get into this world alive and well, I’m more than contented.

Besides, it’ll be another pair of chubby cheeks for me to bite into. Heh.

As for gender…………… we couldn’t really get a confirmation on that one.

Like my gynae said, that’s the least important of all. What’s important is all the other vitals look good.

So, you guys just have to wait till he/she finally pops out from the oven. Heh…

Alritey, time to go to bed. Hopefully Aaliya sleeps better tonight. She’s starting to have flu and didn’t sleep well last night. Nitez peeps.
