*Of childhood dreams and memories…*

Yesterday, while?we were walking back from 7-11, I saw a small, icky-yucky, gross little?creature crawling on the floor. As some of you already know, I am squirmish of those caterpillars which crawl by bending/arching their bodies up and down.

I saw one of those, I jumped and then saw another and another and another.

So, what did I do?

Ran! A 9-month pregnant lady, running and squirming away from creepy crawlies. No, I didn’t want to think of the consequences of running. I only thought of staying away from those friggging little things. Urgh!

This past few weeks, I’ve actually ceased/slowed down?from buying?stuff for Baby A.

I’ve?gone back to?splurging more on my first Baby – Dy.

Heh. A few weeks ago, I dragged him to buy a new?LCD monitor since the new ACER pc he got from me came with one and he looked like he wanted 1 too. Heh. And then 2 days ago, I told him I wanted to get him a very EARLY anniversary prezzie, since I’d be in confinement during our 2nd year anniversary. Last year, I got him an early prezzie too, though I didn’t know at that time that I was going to present it to him in hospital during my first miscarriage. But I was definitely thrilled to see how happy he was when he got last year’s prezzie, which was that Superman DVD set – Superman being his childhood superhero, of course.

This year, I decided to buy him something which he had wanted ever since he was a kid – a remote-controlled helicopter. *lol* Yeaps. Through this 7-odd years I’ve known him, he would look intently at those helicopters when we walked pass them. So, 2 days ago when I told him that we were going to get 1 for him, he?could not wipe that?sheepish smile on his face. Of course, then I had to wait for him to select one at the toy store, just like a mum waiting for her kid. Heh.

And yesterday night, I couldn’t help but giggle at how excited he was as he tried the copter out. He even searched for the Airwolf theme song, that helicopter drama from our childhood days,?while he assembled the freaking thinglah! Haha… haiz. My big Baby. How I love him so.

Speaking of childhood, my dad has gone on a laminating frenzy, laminating all the old photos of our family. Sure brought back memories when I looked back at those pics. Anyways, it’s outrageous how much they charge people for laminating these days!?So I told him that I had the pouches and if he wanted, we could pool our money and buy the machine. He agreed, and now, I have a laminating machine at home! Hooray! What I’ve always wanted. Now I can print colour and then laminate my teaching resources!

In 2 days time, I’ll be hitting 9 months.

Yes, that’s how fast time flies. And that also means, I’ll pop anytime soon.

I’m still working, obviously, though my everyday worry is that my water breaks during my P1 lesson and send them panicking or something. I’m also worried that it happens during invigilating next week. I’ll ask my gynae when I meet her on Monday.

These days, I’m sweating like mad due to the weather but inside, I’m actually shivering from the anticipation and slight fear about being in the last lap of the race.

It IS the final coutdown as it is.
